International Federation for Sports Officials (IFSO)
For many years now, the International Federation for Sports Officials (IFSO) has been a place where passionate people from all over the world come together with one shared goal: to make officiating stronger, more professional, and better supported. Since its creation in 2019 at the Peace Palace in The Hague, IFSO has grown into an international reference point for knowledge sharing, education, and collaboration between officials and sports organizations.

It is precisely this mission, ensuring quality, integrity, and meaningful support for officials worldwide, that drew me to the organisation in 2019 as Vice President, and which I have continued to champion with full commitment since January 2025 as President. My work is driven by people: officials who dedicate themselves daily to fair and safe competitions, federations striving to strengthen their structures, and international partners who share our ambition of building a future in which officiating receives the recognition it truly deserves.

That is why the official opening of our operational center in Orléans on 20 January 2026 was such an important milestone for me. This center enables us to collaborate more efficiently across borders, coordinate our training programmes more effectively, and shape innovative new projects.
With that same dedication, IFSO offers a wide range of services tailored to the needs of officials and sports organisations: international e‑learning programmes, webinars, workshops, coaching pathways, unified global quality standards and continuous professional development. We support federations and NOCs with guidance on structures, governance and safeguarding, and we help them shape policies around wellbeing, prevention and retention. Through research and innovation, we develop tools, insights and best practices, often originating from Erasmus+ projects, that strengthen officiating systems within organisations.

And because connection remains essential, we bring people together through our annual congress, expert webinars, newsletters, and our growing global network of federations, NOCs and leaders in the officiating community. For me, IFSO is more than a federation; it is an international community that I am proud and committed to help build every single day, towards more quality, more respect and more future for all sports officials.
