European Rowing Umpiring Commission (ERUC)

Two weeks ago, I received the wonderful news that I have been nominated to join the European Rowing Umpiring Commission (ERUC). This nomination is not only a great honor, but also the fulfilment of a long‑held dream.

The ERUC is a relatively new commission, established only three or four years ago,  yet it has already become an important body within European Rowing. Its mission is to support, guide, and strengthen umpiring across Europe, ensuring high standards, fairness, and consistency throughout our sport. Being invited to contribute to such a dynamic and growing commission makes this nomination even more meaningful to me.

For many years, I have dedicated myself to the development of rowing officiating, both nationally and internationally. Serving on the ERUC allows me to continue that commitment at a broader European level, working together with colleagues to help shape the future of umpiring.

I am deeply grateful for the trust placed in me and look forward to contributing to the continued growth and professionalisation of officiating in our sport.
